"Dumpster Diving" Adventure
So because of my new couponing, I was in need of an important component...coupons. A friend of mine told me to go to the paper recycle dumpster north of town and so I headed out there yesterday evening with my husband and kids in the car. The only way I could figure out how to get in was to open the giant door at the end of it...so I pulled out all the latches etc. and when the heavy door finally opened, I couldn't fit in it because it was chained still. A couple people also pulled up to throw some more things in. Extremely embarrassed, I put the door back as it was, got in the car and left, horribly dissappointed that I didn't have any coupons. All the while Josh was laughing at me and even getting Mercy to laugh at me. Today, however, my friend explained the RIGHT way to get into the giant dumpster. I must get on my car roof (pulled very close to the dumpster) and actually jump in. Once in I can get all of the coupons I need! To get back out, I will have to stack up bags, paper, etc, because the dumpster is not that full. I won't be able to do this today (I have biblestudy this evening) But hopefully tomarrow I will be able to get in, (and out) with some coupons!

That presents a comical image my dear! What if you take a small folding step stool along with you to help you out. I'd hate to think of you stuck inside of that giant container!
ReplyDeleteHave fun.
This is a stupid question, but what is couponing?? If you need help with any of this let me know :)
ReplyDeleteCouponing is cutting out/printing lots of coupons and then using them when you go grocery shopping for food and personal items. My friend saves so much money doing it because the coupons really add up...especially if you have lots for an item and the item is already on sale. Its lots of fun to go to the store and shop and when you check out your total is like 200 dollars but then the coupons get ran and you only have to pay like a hundred. My friend went shopping yesterday and the total was 100 and she only payed 20 or so so she saved 80%. Its alot of fun and also gives me something to do! And I am always looking for ways to save money because we are broke all the time lol. If you ever want to try it you can start out small with a couple items and a couple coupons. The best places to get coupons are coupons.com and the sunday denver post.
ReplyDeleteYou are toooooo funny! don't think I am going to rescue you out of the dumpster! But it does remind me of your dad in a dump one time coming up with an old umbrella and a pink corset.... he put on the corset and put up the umbrella... and belted out Raindrops Keep Falling on My Head.... until mortified he looked up and saw a man pulling up in a truck alongside him at the dump...
