A Good Day
Yesterday morning when I was trying to decide where to spring clean and organize next, I realized that the living room and kitchen in my house were trashed because of a lack of a attention (and attention from a two year old) while I was busy doing cupboards and closets. So I decided to clean them really well, but as I started I realized I couldn't stay inside all day! It was such a beautiful day so I packed up the kids and took them to Grandma's house so Mercy could play outside. She had so much fun! (I am still trying to decide whether Grandma or Mercy had more fun.) When I got home I started cleaning the kitchen and living room EPICALLY. I washed the crayon and yuckies off the wall, I moved out the furniture and vacuumed behind, under, and around everything, including the window sills. I swept, mopped, and had some fun setting up the playpen/changing table so we can actually use it. When Josh came home I explained the new rules...clothes to the laundry basket immediately, trash to trash can immediately and when you use something, put it in its new home. Hopefully this works! Also at my mom's house I had a crafting adventure. I have always wanted a baby sling so its easier to control Mercy while holding/feeding Gracie. I found some old fabric, (which I LOVE and had used in a quilt I made when I was little) Found some rings and sewed a ring sling! I am still trying to figure out how to use it without Grace falling out, but it will definately be handy! Last night was my first couponing experience. I had a list of things I needed for the house (no food items) just personal items such as diapers, wipes, razors, deoderant, dog food, cat food etc. The total on everything was $80 but I only paid $61! So I saved $19 dollars. It was so much fun because we needed everything we got (no extra things that I had coupons for) and saving money when you have to spend some is always fun!Tuesday is going to be my big couponing/grocery shopping day! I am excited for that as well. Today my adventures include cleaning out the bathroom closet and scrubbing it, going (hopefully if the weather stays nice) going to the park with a friend and the kids, and a birthday party tonight! Yay! Its friday!
